What should you expect?
In this learning level, we will build on your existing knowledge (see contents of previous Level 2 here [2]) of basic vocabs and grammars to improve your comprehension using new topics, help you practice the words you know, and support your established skills, in addition to employing this knowledge in real life scenarios.
With the help of the Arabic Language booklet - designed by your teacher Lilas, Level A1.3 is designed to utilize the words you are learning to carry out a meaningful short conversation, discuss weather, shop around Arab markets for your desired merchandise, discuss traveling and holidays and talk about such topics in different tenses. As you experienced in the first level, we will make sure that we have fun learning using in-class activities, videos, and songs.
What are the learning objectives?
Since you now know how to talk about your job, your family, your weekly plans, your likes and desires; we plan on equipping you with a variety of new verbs and vocabularies, including weather, looks and appearances, holidays, shopping and traveling among others. At the end of this ten-class course, you will be able to:
- Converse about a range of interesting topics such as weather, shopping, clothes, colors,family and work, using new themed vocabularies.
- Use a variety of verbs related to the mentioned themes in present simple, present continuous, and future tenses.
- Congratulate and make holidays’ wishes.
- Use a variety of new adjectives and characteristics.
- Use the genitive construction to create more advanced sentences.
- Learn what is the nominal sentence and apply it to all the different themed topics you will learn during this level.

Why Levantine?
Learning a language is always about engaging with the community and getting a true sense of what that language represents to locals, and how they interact on a daily basis. That’s why we chose for our course the Levantine dialect, one of the six main varieties of colloquial Arabic spoken across the Arab world, as it is the main vernacular spoken in Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Jordan. Compared to the Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), used more formally, Levantine dialect is easier to pronounce and understand, widely spoken, and more accessible, being adopted by most of the art and cultural movements in the Arab world.
Information about the course
By booking this language course, you are choosing a 10-week group language course, which will take place digitally once a week. The classes start on Friday, September 4th, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Then there are 9 more sessions, every Friday at the same time.
The course officially ends on Novemver 6th with a small final test. If you pass the test and participate regularly, you will receive a certificate of participation from us.
Participation in the course takes place via Zoom. You will receive the dial-in data after booking as part of a detailed preparatory email.
Registration Deadline: 31st of August 2026
Please remember to sign up prior to 31st of August. The course will be cancelled in case the minimum registrations required is not reached.

Digital Program:
The course package consists of 10 weekly sessions of 1.5 hours (2 study hours) each. A good hour of follow-up work, vocabulary and homework is required per week for good learning success.
