The official currency in Uzbekistan is the Sum (USZ). It is possible to exchange money (Euro or US dollars) anywhere in the country, but should only be done in banks and approved exchange offices. The banking network is only moderately developed. We recommend that you bring most of your money in cash, but also that you bring a credit card for withdrawing money. Withdrawals within the country are subject to withdrawal fees, which may vary depending on the bank in Germany.
