Between the holidays, we have something very special in mind for you: an interactive digital tour through Pakistan.
Our Pakistani partner organisation Individual Land normally provides assistance for traumatised journalists in conflict areas or offers workshops for young people on the topic of preventing extremism.
On December 28th, however, the team, which comes from all over the country and speaks a broad variety of languages and dialects, would like to take you on an interactive short trip through Pakistan in cooperation with Alsharq REISE. On the one hand, we will get to know the peculiarities of metropolises like Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad from personal perspectives. On the other hand, we will meet people in remote valleys like the Kalasha in the Hindu Kush region. It will be sporty when we get to grips with cricket. It will be culinary when a food blogger introduces us to the specialties of Balochistan. And the sceneries will be spectacular, for example in the Himalayan mountains. You can ask your questions at any time and enter into dialogue with the guides. Speaking of which: We are most looking forward to the humorous, self-deprecating and infectiously inspiring way in which our partners will present their exciting country.

A Muslim Zion, a place of longing for mountain climbers, an artificially created state: the attributions generally made to Pakistan could hardly be any more different. The country has to offer so much more than the common associations of religious fanaticism, terror or the conflict with India. On this virtual journey, we want to take you to a country we know far too little about in Germany - and which, despite all its political challenges, is characterised by beautiful landscapes, artefacts of the entire human history and an open, hospitable society.
