Content Left Column:

Uzbekistan is located in the heart of Central Asia and borders Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan. The country is about the same size as Sweden or California with more than two-thirds of it desert and steppe in the west. The only relief is the delta where the Amu-Darya River empties into what remains of the Aral Sea. In the east, however, Uzbekistan tilts upward towards the mountains of its neighbors.

Content Right Column:

This is where the country’s life-giving rivers rise. The richest farmland (and therefore the bulk of the population) is nestled in the gaps in the mountains, on the alluvial planes at their base, and along the country’s two big rivers – Amu-Darya and Syr Darya. Uzbekistan contains some of the world’s oldest, most historic cities including Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.

Digital Program:

We will start our journey with an introduction to Uzbekistan, discovering current developments and ongoing transformations. We will give you the insights about not only the current political situation, but also the challenges and the consequences of the COVID-19 and will cover some cultural aspects of the country.

In the main part of our wondrous journey, Ali will immerse us in the atmosphere of narrow and cobblestone streets, magnificent architecture and of course meeting the real people. Imagine yourself arriving at the oasis in the endless desert. You feel the alluring aroma of bread in clay ovens inviting you for the lunch within the walls that for centuries have breathed the history of the crown jewel of the Great Silk Road – Khiva.
